MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has added four additional entrances at the East Gate of Milan Puskar Stadium.

In an effort to better accommodate fans and WVU students attending football games, two additional entry points for students holding lower level student section tickets, and two additional general public entry points have been added.

“We hope to better serve our fans with the addition of four entrances at the East gate,” said WVU Director of Facilities and Operations April Messerly. “We do have some physical restrictions at our stadium that was built in 1980, and fans are always reminded to enter the stadium early. Historically, long lines at our gates begin to form close to kickoff. Our intent is to add more entrances in order to process fans into the stadium expeditiously.”

The department consulted with several agencies, who play a vital role in game day operations, including University Police, State Police, WVU Student Affairs and CSC event staff, to improve the traffic flow of fans through the East Gate entrance.

In addition, United Bank members now have a dedicated United Bank entry located at the west and north gates. Fans are allowed to access these entrances by showing their United Bank ATM or check card along with their game ticket.

West Virginia opens its 2013 football season on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Milan Puskar Stadium against William & Mary. For tickets, contact the Mountaineer Ticket Office at WVUGAME.com or 1-800-WVU GAME.
