MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Four West Virginia University track runners are headed to the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif., on Friday, March 29, at the Cobb Track and Angell Field.

Seniors Sarah-Anne Brault, Jordan Hamric and Aubrey Moskal, along with junior Sarah Martinelli will compete with more than 3,300 athletes and 100 collegiate teams in the 29th edition of the meet.

“This meet will feature the best distance races in the country this entire spring. Only the NCAA Championships will have a greater representation from the entire country,” coach Sean Cleary says. “We are getting on a plane to travel to Stanford to run fast, and our expectations are simple - we want to run very fast.”

All four runners are returning to the track for the first time in the outdoor season, with Hamric expected to race first in section two of the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 8:23 p.m., ET. Hamric is one of five returning student-athletes that competed in the NCAA East Regional last year, where she placed 35th in the steeplechase.

Moskal and Martinelli are the next to compete in section three of the 5,000-meter run, set to begin at 10:15 p.m., ET, while 2011 All-American Brault will compete in section one of the 10,000-meter run at 12:06 a.m., ET.

Live results from the race can be found at Rtspt.com with a live web stream at Flotrack.org. Final results and a recap will be posted on WVUsports.com following the completion of the competition.
